Christmas is one of the most celebrated religious festivals in the world today. The word Christmas comes from "Christ's Mass". The celebration of Christmas is basically the birth of Jesus. December 25 is considered the birthday of Jesus. Christians believe that Jesus Christ was born on this day. However, there is a doctrine about the date of birth.

An integral part of this is the arrival of Santa Claus. The word Santa Claus comes from Saint Nicholas. He is also called Father Christmas and Santa. Children think or know that Santa Claus will bring gifts for them on the eve of Christmas.
History reveals that the first Christmas was celebrated in 354 in ancient Rome. December 25th is celebrated as a birthday. According to the priests, this date of birth was fixed by adding 9 months to the time of Jesus' birth in Mary's womb.
Around 325, many changes in the Bible were made. At that time Jesus was called the "Son of God." And in 314 December 25 was declared a birthday. Earlier, it was observed on January 9. However, many think that the word "son of God" has been used metaphorically. One song is heard every year-
"Jingle bells, jingle bells
jingle all the way,
oh! what fun it is to ride
in a one horse open sleigh."
Many call it the Christmas song. Which was written by James lord in 1857.

Another interesting Christmas theme is the Christmas tree. This means that a green tree is decorated with all the flowers and fruits. The fir tree is basically prepared for the Christmas tree. Sometimes plastic is used instead of the actual tree. Artificial stars or angels are placed on this tree. Whom
it is considered a symbol of the birth of Jesus. It is believed that Christmas tree decorating was introduced in the 16th century. However, no clear idea has been found as to how it came to be.
Outdoor lighting and illuminated dolls are arranged in Europe, America and Australia. Christmas banners are hung in the streets. Boys and girls go out in different outfits on this day.
Christmas is celebrated in almost all countries of the world. In most countries it is celebrated as a major festival. This means that this day is celebrated as a public holiday. However, in some countries like Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Japan, Thailand, Iran and North Korea, Christmas is not celebrated as a public holiday. Although Christmas is celebrated on December 25, the National Churches of Russia, Georgia, Egypt and Syria celebrate Christmas on January 8. Christmas is celebrated on January 8 in all countries for the Julian calendar. All trade is closed on this day in England and Scotland.
However, there is disagreement among many Christians about the celebration of Christmas. At one point Protestants began to oppose the celebration of Christmas. According to them, the festival is pagan and has no religious significance. Nowhere in the Bible is there any mention of celebrating the great day. Jesus never said that. The orthodox rulers of England banned the celebration of Christmas in 1668 AD. However, the ban was lifted after a certain period of time. Today, not only Catholics, but all Christians, including Protestants, celebrate this festival. Christians believe that this day will bring them joy and redemption.
